Another successful Kentucky Boys State was held 26 June through 1 July at the Wendell H. Ford Regional Training Center in Greenville, KY. Hardin Post 113 sponsored 13 young men from schools in Hardin County. The Boys State Governor was Cameron L. Chapman from Central Hardin High School. The 2011 Boys State Yearbook was dedicated to William T. ―Bill‖ Moser, Jr., who died March 24, 2011. Bill was a longtime member of Hardin Post 113, who performed various duties with Boys State over many years. A special thanks to those who donated their time and money to Boys State; especially, George Larsen for contacting all of the High Schools in Hardin County. Kentucky Boys State could not have been successful without you. Jesse Hall, Co-Chair Boys State for 2011 is complete. This is a program designed to train the
youth in the fundamentals of good citizenship and government operations. We have
been sending boys to Boys State since 1946. We sponsored 13 boys this year.
It is never to early to start thinking about sponsoring a candidate. It cost $185.00 to
sponsor a young man for the week. Anyone can contribute any amount to help
send a young man to Boys State. Once again its time to start raising money for Boys State.
Proud sponsors can be listed here. Don’t let us down. Without your help Hardin
Post 113 can’t be the leader in Kentucky. If you can make a donation to sponsor
a boy, please contact George Larson, Jesse Hall or you can turn your
donation into the Post. You will receive a receipt and if you want, your name
will be listed here as a sponsor. We need your help. Boys State Donors Rep.
