2011 Events: 
   
KICKSTANDS UP!  The American Legion Riders (ALR) are the fastest growing segment of our Legion Family and, nationwide, have raised millions of dollars to ensure scholarships for the children of service members who have died on active duty since 9-11-01.  The ALR, Post 113 continues to be a visible reminder of the 4 pillars of our Legion, namely a strong national defense, service to veterans, service to children and Americanism. 
Continuing that ideal, we host an Annual Jackpot Poker Run to help raise funds for the Legacy Scholarship Fund and other Charities that the American Legion supports.  We ask the entire Legion Family to support ALR events as the proceeds will benefit charities within our Legion and our Elizabethtown community.  For additional information, or if you wish to volunteer your time in support of our efforts, please see our flyers
or attend our meetings held the 4th Thursday of each month.

A stronger American Legion represents an even stronger veterans' voice, so join us in support of Post 113, for the sake of our service men and women, our veterans, their families and for the sake of our Country.

Elections for the American Legion are in Apr, Sons of the American Legion and Legion Auxiliary are in May. Please support your Legion Family in their elections. On that note, the ALR has their elections in May as well. The positions are Director, Assistant Director, Treasurer, Secretary, Membership Chairman, Road Captain, Sergeant of Arms, Chaplain and Historian. I am planning to run for Director again. I have heard from Glen Walters and he is planning to run for Chaplain again, Steve Brown said he would run for Treasurer again, Howard Hazelwood stated he would run for Sergeant at Arms and Lee Legaspi stated that he would like to run for Secretary again. Bobbie Folsom has also stated that she would run for Road Captain again. Clay Ackiss has informed me that he will not be running for Assistant Director. If anyone is interested in any of our positions, please contact John Crow. John has volunteered to be on the Nominating committee for the ALR.
